welcome to ‘littleletters‘ the first of our monthly updates, we have been extremely busy of late with all things musical, and would like to give you a wee heads up on some of our recent activities, keeping you in the loop so to speak….
movie soundtrack
you may see us on the red carpet next month as we have been approached by some nice movie making folks at Wee Buns Ltd to provide music for the new movie ‘Cup Cake’, a Northern Irish comedy feature to be premiered at this years Belfast Film Festival on 21 April 2010.
They have asked specifically for ‘Am I Dreaming’ from our second album “Safe Life” which acts as support to the narrative of the story. You can have a wee listen to ‘Am I Dreaming’ via the ‘Safe Life’ iTunes link on the littlelinks page.

this week Ruairi and I have been mixing and recording vocals on some tracks from the new album. We are really thriving on the freedom that comes from having a recording studio at home and have been keeping a recording diary to be streamed for your viewing pleasure in the weeks to come. We will be releasing a few of the tracks as a taster and you can now transport yourself into the future and sample the track ‘Without Hurt’ from the upcoming album by clicking on the little hooks myspace link on the little links page.
workshop news
the hooks are at it again in the workshop arena, we shall be helping four experimental youth clubs from the Strabane and Omagh areas to develop and record some out there tuneage with the help of the experts.
haiti relief gig
on Sunday past the hooks could be seen on a promotional photo shoot in Letterkenny drumming up support for the acoustic Haiti relief fund. If you like your tunes laid back and acoustified you should come along to the An Grianán theatre on April 3rd for a complete change of gear and scenery.
